Job Summary
As an Assembly Operator, you will help to build and assemble cable assemblies. This is a 1st shift position.
Job Description
We are looking for an Assembly Operator to help to build and assemble cable assemblies. This position will be contract and on-site and 1st shift (6:00am – 3:00pm).
What You’ll Do
Build and assemble cable assemblies
Check shop schedule for builds to print
Read build packages
Review application specifications to ensure correct components are being used and standards are met
Review customer drawings for correct pin out
Process the cables including cutting, stripping, crimping and assembly
May include soldering of headers or wires to PC Boards
End of Line testing of cable assemblies
Ensure cables meet all the quality requirements
Packaging of cable assemblies
What You’ll Need
Required:
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Efficient with MS office and Excel
Experience with soldering tasks with tools to PCBs and wires
Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and calipers
Problem solving skills
Capability to read and understand drawings/prints
Preferred:
Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
